Airdrops and other Free Cryptocurrencies
These free airdrops and give-away's are part of promotions and various other deals. There is no guarantee you get to cash out. But it's free.
Estimated worth in dollars are according to the distributor.
Want to know more about airdrops and what to expect? Read the simple guide below the various airdrops.

Be aware that thanks to new regulations and international laws, many new companies and projects, require you to fill out a KYC (Know Your Customer) form. This usually includes a copy of your ID or drivers licence. This form is mostly not available during Airdrop phase and will be introduced pre-ICO. So, now airdrops aren't all that interesting for the crypto newbies.

I do not recommend doing this. Giving your personal details for just a (potentially) couple of dollars worth of tokens. Therefor there will be less airdrops posted. Only those I (admin) fully read through and actually see why it could really work.

Airdrops are events that some (new) companies use as a promotional event where they give away a small percentage of the total existing tokens, or coins, to early subscribers. They will usually allow you to sign up through specific actions; Like needing a valid email address, a re-tweet or a like on facebook. These sign-up events are usually very early on in the stage of a project launch. So, you might sometimes have to wait up to a year before you will receive your coins or tokens.

The reason why participating in an airdrop might be good is the example of the Bitcoin itself. When it started there were big give-away's for early adaptors of the coin. The very first Faucet back then gave away 5 bitcoin to anyone interested enough to download the official wallet.
Imagine signing up now to an airdrop and receiving some token a couple of weeks later. Completely forgetting you have those tokens in your Ethereum wallet, but finding them again a couple of years later when they have become a big success.
Of course there is no guarantee. It is completely free though.

On freebcc.org you will only find those that do not make it too difficult and look like a very interesting idea or company.

Once you have your tokens you might like to exchange them for Ethereum. There are several ways to exchange. Here are two tried and tested methods for you to consider.

Now that you know the tokens are in your wallet you might like to send them to an exchange to sell/trade.

The first method is by EtherDelta.com. This is the first exchange a token is available for trade.

To exchange your tokens on EtherDelta you must do the following:

1. Either import your Ethereum private key, or make a new account and receive another public and private key.
2. If you imported your private key. You can search your token here. And it will show up in 3.
3. This is where you can deposit, withdraw and transfer your tokens from your wallet to the exchange.
4. Is the Order sections where you can either fill and order where red are the bids to buy and green are the bids to sell. You can also make your own sell order by clicking sell and fill in the first two fields according to your wishes.
5 and 6. Is all the other relevant information like order history, price chart and updates twitter feed.

You will need gas money. This means have a little bit of ethereum in your account. If there is not enough it will say so when you try to deposit or any other action. You can set a gas price with option 1. Most just leave it as is for timely transactions. The lower you set the gas price the longer a transaction will take.

The second method is to send your tokens to another exchange.

This can be done via MyEtherWallet.com.
(this is not a link. Use a search engine. Always check if the address is correct because of many scam and phishing done via false links to this website.)

1. Go to Send Ether & Tokens.
2. Choose your method. In this way we import the private key for the wallet with tokens.
3. Paste the private key and click - UNLOCK - that will be available after paste.

Now when you are in you get a simple menu to send ethereum or tokens:

1. Address to send tokens to. Provided by the exchange you wish to send them to.
2. The amount.
- 2a. Choose your token via its Symbol.
3. Set gas limit. This is in Gwei. The lower you set it the longer the transaction will take.
4. Is your public key/wallet address.

Now you must first check to see if your tokens are showing up yet. Most tokens must be added manually via a simple form on this same page.
When you scroll down you will see an option to the right saying -Show Tokens-.
If your tokens are not showing here you can click -add custom token-. You will get this menu:

Fill in the 3 field provided by the token distributor and save.
Now this token will show in your wallet and you can send it.

If you cannot find the required information, search your public address in Etherscan and click on - Token Transfers-. Click on the link that shows the token name.

Then you will find the information here:

Airdrop tokens are generally ERC20 tokens. ERC stands for Ethereum Request for Comments. This is an official protocol for proposing improvements to the Ethereum network. 20 is the unique proposal ID number.

ERC20 is actually a standard that tokens on the Ethereum network can meet, and tokens that check all the necessary boxes are deemed ERC20 Tokens. These tokens are blockchain assets that have value, and can be sent and received, like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, or any other cryptocurrency. The difference between these tokens and a standalone currency like Litecoin is that ERC20 tokens piggyback on the Ethereum network, hosted by Ethereum addresses and sent by Ethereum transactions.

Most Ethereum wallets have some tokens build in, but do not show all. So if you received a message that the tokens are send, and you cannot see them showing up in your wallet, does not mean they aren't there. The best way to check if you have them in you wallet is by searching your wallet address (public key) on etherscan.io.

For example there is this
link to etherscan and the public ETH address used by freebcc admin for airdrops. You can see the full history of that address and what tokens are already received from previous airdrops.
